AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH, AIN'T NO OCEAN DEEP ENOUGH (SAY IT AGAIN)

Galleri N. Bergslien – Eidfjord

2011

The purpose of the exhibition was to work with landscape painting as a phenomenon, political, cultural and historical. The approach circled around the role of the tourist, the norwegian landscape and Norway as an oil nation. Eidfjord is a picturesque place on the west coast of Norway, known for its beautiful nature, high mountains and dramatic fjords. Each year thousands of tourists visit this small community.

When a painting was sold form the exhibition it was replaced by a polaroid image of the buyer holding the purchased work. In this way the exhibition continuously changed throughout its showing.
