HILDE KJØNNIKSEN

The works explore a selection of cityscapes and different representations of these. The still construction sites after the workers have left are not threatening, but vaguely unsettling. Open wounds in the city. Humans continuously alter their surrounding environments, for better and worse.

What lies beneath this imagery is a strong interest in the relation between people and nature and especially how these different landscapes are represented in art.
